ODPM becomes DCLG

I noticed today, whilst doing a favour for a friend, that the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) has been overhauled and re-named the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG). The site looks very good and has an rss feed for its latest news too.

This, in turn, lead me to info4local, “a government portal that gives local authorities a quick and easy way to find and link to relevant information on the web sites of central government departments, agencies and public bodies”. It is run by the DCLG, the Department for Education, The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Department of Health, Home Office, Department for Transport, and the Department for Works and Pensions. According to the site more than 65 government departments, agencies and public bodies contribute to the site, making it a central resource for local authorities. The thing is, there are rss feeds here too. You can get RSS feeds on the latest two news releases, related links or publications added to info4local across all of the 21 subjects they cover. Or you can get the latest 10 news releases, publications and related links added by individual subject
